USC: Roski School of Art & Design, "Make Mend: Kintsugi Hack." Workshop
This was another wonderful event in the Make Mend series at the USC Roski School of Art & Design.
Wabi-sabi is the Japanese concept of “flawed beauty,” or beauty in imperfection. At this event, students practiced the art of Kintsugi (also known as Kintsukuroi), the technique of repairing and embellishing broken pottery with gold or gold dust.
Resulting in beautiful pieces of mended cups, bowls, and more.
