USC: Roski School of Art & Design, "Make Mend: DARN." Workshop
Wabi-sabi is the Japanese concept of “flawed beauty,” or beauty in imperfection.
At this event, USC students mended and reflected on repair, bringing items from their lives to creatively mend as a wellness practice.
Getting back to something that connects them to sustainability on a personal level and promotes an acceptance of imperfection.
Capturing this event was both soothing and invigorating. If you have an art or culture event coming up, I’d love photograph your concept.
