Rachel & Chris' Fig House Wedding, Highland Park
I love this wedding from April of last year at The Fig House. Chris & Rachel's style is effortless and they definitely chose the venue to match.
Rachel did all the flower arrangements herself from flowers she sourced from the DTLA flower market!
"First off, Gina is a gem. Her photographs should really speak for themselves but if you need any more convincing, read on. We hired Gina for an exceptionally special occasion -- our wedding. We communicated to Gina that we weren't into the whole corny, trite wedding photos where the couple is like looking deep into each other's eyes in front of a tree shaped like a heart or whatever. She started the process with a thorough questionnaire all about what we wanted. She really guided us through our day and what we wanted to make it extra wonderful. When our day finally came, Gina was there snapping the most beautiful photos we have! She was professional but so friendly and warm and immediately put us (two camera shy introverts) not just at ease but smiling and dancing and having fun like there wasn't a camera in sight. It was a perfect day and she just made it better. Flash forward to having our photos delivered! We were truly in awe of Gina's work and we weren't the only ones -- our whole family has framed, shared and loved our photos. We can't speak highly enough of Gina so I hope this review is sufficiently gushing." -- Chris & Rachel
I got a kick out of photographing Rachel's niece (and flower girl) throughout the day. After dumping all her flower petals on the ceremony rug, she picked them all up again, right as Rachel was coming down the aisle with her mother and father. I love capturing kids, they are always perfect exactly the way they are.
A post-ceremony moment alone…
One of their close friends made their cake topper! I love how they are holding drinks and wearing leather jackets… the resemblance is uncanny. ;-P
