In 2013, I made a sequence of brave choices to see if I could really make my photography-thing my full-time work. I have to stop and mark these times because it’s so easy for me to have instant amnesia about what I’ve built and all the hard work laid behind me.
I did this!
I’m doing this!
I get to document art! Weddings (over 170 to date)! Connection! Assemblies of thinkers, doers, and lovers! Meet incredible humans! And travel all over the world! I get to heal through art-making, reflect through documenting process, and sit in a place of humility as I capture complex subjects.
I am grateful for this autonomy.
Every day I feel like someone looking into the horizon with my hopes and dreams burning white-hot inside me. I pick myself up and make the choice to try my best, accept the good, the bad, and the ugly, win or fail, and just ⚡️Ride Towards It⚡️.
